Further Erosion Of Human Rights In Canada

Further Erosion Of Human Rights In Canada

First HRCs persecuting Canadians and contravening our rights under the charter, and now the Quebec Superior Court deals a further blow.

We have experienced government sponsored Human Rights Commissions (HRCs) persecuting citizens and contravening their “Guarantee of Rights and Freedoms” defined under the CANADIAN CHARTER OF RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS [Being Part I of the Constitution Act, 1982]

Articles 2(a) and 2(b) guarantee “freedom of conscience and religion” and “freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication”.

But our Federal and Provincial governments have sponsored agencies (HRCs) which have clearly contravened these rights and actually persecuted innocent people.

This is not Hyperbole, the facts speak for themselves; consider the case of Stephen Boisson in Alberta; but this is only a single case, there are many more.

Now we have the courts themselves contravening the “Guarantee of Rights and Freedoms” to serve a government agenda.

Quebec's Superior Court ruled that parents do not have ultimate authority over the moral or religious education of their children, and that the state can impose a curriculum that conflicts with the moral codes parents strive to instill.

Why does the state think that they know better than parents what moral values to instill?

Who writes the curriculum? The government.

Where are the checks and balances for the government and their curriculum, who will do that? will Quebec's Superior Court do it?

With this ruling, the door is opened for further government abuse of personal freedoms. State controlled education is a feature of totalitarian regimes (Communist & Nazis for example) – are we to have that here in Canada too?

Excellent Article in today’s National Post by John Carpay and Karen Selick...
