McGill Daily Website Attacked (2)

As discussed in the previous post McGill Daily Website Attacked
"Choose Life" the pro-life group who's event was targeted, published a sound and well written rebuttal in the "McGill Daily". I now discovered that an attempt to vandalize page of the McGill Daily web-site where the Choose Life piece was published.

I am posting the evidence again because the method I was using to post the file was not reliable, and many people were not able to access it. Blogger does not permit a file to be hosted so I am attaching a snippit.

This is the sophisticated technique that the protesters used; leave a comment on a free-speech forum that was gibberish.

First comment "Dezrasab wrote:" followed by
"comment4 http://www.lyricsyoulove.com/images/index.php?a=rob-scuderi fleury http://www.lyricsyoulove.com/images
/index.php?a=sytycd-season-5-top-20 sytycd idol http://www.lyricsyoulove.com/images"

And so on for a couple of pages and then "Cbvuvcfg wrote:" and more gibberish for a couple of pages,

There are 56 pages of this. The intention was to try to stop the "Choose Life" rebuttal from being seen.

Well it didn't work. The website did not crash and the Choose Life rebuttal was available for view. Which is good news for free-speech, and particularly so because it is an excellent piece, in contrast to the "pro-choice" piece published as an editorial by the McGill Tribune

You can see from the final bogus comment on page 56 of the pdf file I made that the final post was entered at 6:29 pm; he started posting at 5:30 pm so after an hour of posting gibberish, he found that the website was still up and running so he cut his losses and gave up.

He only wasted an hour in his bid to shut-down a well-written article.

Hezbollah Stockpiling Munitions in Homes

Hezbollah uses the homes of civilians to stockpile weapons and munitions in Southern Lebanon, in violation of the truce, and UN Resolution 1701.
"Permanent Ceasefire to Be Based on Creation Of Buffer Zone Free of Armed Personnel Other than UN, Lebanese Forces"
Thinking people are well aware that terrorist organisations such as Hezbollah (Lebanon) and Hamas (Gaza and West Bank), are no respecters of treaties or agreements, in fact they have no interested in peace, nor the welfare and rights of their citizens.

In fact quite the opposite as we saw in the war in Southern Lebanon, Hezbollah located rockets in the niddle of densely populated civilian locations. It was their express hope that civilians would be injured or killed to fuel anti-Israel hatred. Hamas followe tha same tactics in Gaza.

Now Hezbollah are stockpiling again, in preparation for another war; aided by Syria and their sponsor Ahmadinejad.

Hezbollah are stockpiling rockets to fire at civilians in Israel - and hiding them in villages. UN wake up!
The Israeli military released video footage on Tuesday it said was taken from an unmanned surveillance drone overlooking the scene shortly after the explosion. The footage was taken by an infra-red camera in black and white.

It showed frantic activity by dozens of people around the site with people loading at least one long object on a truck. The army then said two truckloads of munitions, including rockets were taken to another hiding place in a nearby village.

Israel is not the enemy of Palestinians

JP reports today on Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech at the opening of the Knesset's winter session on Monday: Netanyahu: PA must recognize Israel as Jewish state for there to be peace.
"We are willing to work hard for peace," but added that "Without recognition of Israel as the Jewish state, we simply cannot reach peace."
I have been saying for some years now:
Israel is not the enemy of the Palestinian people.
I believe that to be true to the bottom of my heart; so when I saw this same statement in Natanyahu's speech it resonated deeply within me.
"This is also the hour for leaders of the Arab states in the area to tell the truth to their people - that the State of Israel is not the enemy of Islam."
Israel is not the enemy of the Palestinian people. Who is? I offer this short list:

Free-Speech Deniers at McGill

I find it strange that a a student at one of Canada's premier Universities (McMaster would head the list of course), would be so devoid of critical thought to:
on the one hand shut-down free speech because he doesn't agree with the opinions of the speaker,
and then on the other hand, avail himself of free-speech on this blog to leave a nasty remark (its somewhat pathetic but it is nasty).
I imagine that he can't see how stupid it makes him look.

Of course I don't think I'm "creepy" but that's just my opinion, fortunately my wife doesn't think so either, but when it comes to the assertion that I was spamming, the evidence is very clear - it was not spam (not that he would care about evidence).  I followed the McGill Tribune protocols, and added a link to Lux et Veritas; as I said yesterday:
Many Tribune  readers availed themselves of that opportunity to read more on the matter, which was pertinent to the discussion thread. It's common practice to leave links in comments (to offer back-up or more information on a matter, or the source of the information).
I try to present a logical rebuttal, perhaps somewhat ponderously, but my good friend Geraint cuts to the heart of the matter, and with an economy of words.

I have to say I think this is brilliant...

brilliant
  1. shining brightly; sparkling; glittering; lustrous: the brilliant lights of the city.
  2. distinguished; illustrious: a brilliant performance by a young pianist.
  3. having or showing great intelligence, talent, quality, etc.: a brilliant technician.
  4. strong and clear in tone; vivid; bright: brilliant blues and greens; the brilliant sound of the trumpets
  5. splendid or magnificent: a brilliant social event
Sadly "anonymous little creep" is showing anything but "brilliance", but there is always redemption.

There is always the chance to turn the corner; and I hope so for his sake. My pastor prayed with me about this person after our worship on Sunday.

I attack his behaviour, I attack his ideologies, I attack the apathy that surrounds these issues, but ultimately I do not attack him per se.

I know that God loves the sinner and hates the sin. Every believer in Jesus Christ understands that, because we need forgiveness too. We know the source of forgiveness - it is through Jesus Himself.

the Fasicst Anti-Free Speech Mind

Following on from the sickening behaviour of student "demonstrators" at McGill, that I wrote about a few days ago here at Lux et Veritas (McGill Protesters Shut-Down Free Speech, posted Friday, October 9, 2009).
The students think it was their right to shut-down a legitimate event, that was authorised by McGill University for the simple reason that they didn't like the content of the presentation, they didn't like the view-point of the presenter, and they formed an opinion before the talk ever took place.

Now one of the protesters, left this nasty personal comment on this blog-site. The product of bankrupt mind
